Acer Fire Cracker
Acer fire cracker is a slow growing acer which can be grown into a shrub or a small tree. Its feathery like leaves are red-purple during the summer turning to bright orange-red during the autumn. It will eventually grow 2.5-5m tall and spread 2.5m-4 wide. Plant in partial shade and a sheltered spot to protect from cold winds. Very hardy plant and the buds will start to reappear early spring.
Care instructions
Plant in either ground or pot make sure it is twice as big as the original pot. Plant in a nice sheltered spot so it is protects by the wind. Can be planted in multi purpose with John Innes and a bit of ericaceous for best results, you can also put some root grow in the boottom of your hole as it will help roots establish. Normally needs once a week of watering but if the weather is hot then sometimes twice a week. ericaceous will help encourage vibrant foliage.
