Magnolia Susan
Magnolia Susan is perfect for a small gardens. It is a slow growing deciduous shrub or small tree with a fragrant reddish/purple flowers in mid to late spring. Will flower in spring then will have medium green leaves that turn golden yellow in the fall. Grows with a compact upright habit of up to 8-12ft and spread 2-4m. Loves full sun to partial shade and likes a well draining soil. Will grow best in a slightly sheltered spot but is very hardy and will be fine in the winter. Does not need a lot of pruning but is best done in midsummer when in full leaf.
Care instructions
1.water the plant throughly before planting it and let the water drain away.
2.dig a hole twice as deep & as wide as the container.
3. Can mix in some gravel at the base to improve drainage.
4. Best compost to use would be just a multi purpose
5.Make sure you water well in the first year
